The BR78 series non-isolated step-down encapsulated DC-DC converter delivers up to 96% efficiency and ultra-low standby current as low as 0.2mA. Designed for space- and energy-constrained environments, it’s ideal for powering MCUs, IoT nodes, field instruments, and compact embedded applications.
Wide Input Range, Regulated Output
Supports wide input voltages from 6–34VDC (model-dependent), with regulated single output options of 3.3V, 5V, 6.5V, 9V, 12V, and 15V — offering flexibility across a wide array of low-voltage systems.
High Conversion Efficiency, Ultra-Low Standby
Delivers typical efficiency up to 96% and no load input current as low as 0.2mA, making it an excellent choice for battery-powered or always-on low-power systems.
Compact Form Factor, Flame-Retardant Housing
Encapsulated in UL94 V-0 compliant flame-retardant plastic and measuring only 11.5 x 9.0 x 17.5 mm (approx. 2g), the BR78 is lightweight and easy to integrate into space-restricted PCBs.
Reliable Protections and Stable Operation
Built-in protections include continuous short-circuit with auto-recovery, excellent line / load regulation, and noise immunity. Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C makes it ready for rugged deployments.
